Sugar & Spice & Everything Nice Baby Shower!

sugar and spice and everything nice baby shower

I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful place to work every day and even more blessed to have an assistant and friend who shares my love for designing parties and entertaining as much as I do.  Kate’s creative talents have also led her to be the newest part-time associate of H Three Events in Nashville, so it gives us lots of party stuff to talk about at work and outside of work.  When it came time to put a shower together for our co-worker Brittany’s soon to arrive Baby Kinsley, Kate and I leaped at the opportunity to create a sticky sweet party for the newest addition to our work family.

We started with a palette of burlap and lace, but wanted to bring in the always appropriate touch of baby pink.  Being the mommy of a wild little boy I forgot how fun it is to be girly!  We hit the jackpot in the dollar bins at Michael’s for our “Kinsley” banner and wishing tree keys along with other fun items for our decor.  Hobby Lobby helped us out with the rest.

Party in a Pinch: Baked Brie Bites Recipe!

We like to refer to our house as the "drop by" house.  On the regular I will get a text or phone call from one of my sweet friends saying they are just going to "drop by" for a minute.  I absolutely LOVE to entertain and given plenty of time I will plan out the menu, decor, etc, but casual drop-ins can be a bit tricky, so it is nice to have a some good go-to snacks and drinks on hand for these … { Continue Reading }

A Royal Spa Party for Princess Charlee’s 5th Birthday

Princess Party

Those of us with birthdays so close to the Holidays have a general understanding of somewhat understated birthday celebrations, but for this little princess (and a personal favorite of mine), Charlee's Royal Spa Party was nothing less than extraordinary.  Eden Day Spa hosted a pampering soiree for Princess Charlee and her royal companions.  Adorable personal (and handmade) details were definitely … { Continue Reading }

For me and many others, my work family is as much a part of my life as my real family, but adding another 27 people to my Christmas list can get quite costly. Since I have been on a baking bonanza for the last 3 weeks I decided to put together some bite-size treats for my co-workers. Working with materials I already had on hand, I was able to package them in a personalized way to give my … { Continue Reading }

I definitely know and enjoy my role on Thanksgiving Day cooking in the kitchen and while that is entertainment enough for me, it is important to consider all the little turkeys that by mid-day have watched just about all the giant inflatables floating down 34th Street to last them a full year.  In an effort to keep the “when are we going to eat”-s down to a minimum, these fun and totally DIY and … { Continue Reading }
