“Now that spring has sprung, it’s time to put away the fine china and get outdoors to entertain this spring and summer. However, being the hostess with the mostess can get pretty pricey. At T.J. Maxx and Marshalls, we get our current season inventory direct from designers and high-end retail stores. That means fabulous designer finds at a price you can’t refuse. We call it “The Thrill of the Find” — finding that coveted, “it” item of the season at a great, affordable price. While T.J.Maxx and Marshalls are typically thought of as fashion brands, they’ve built out their housewares department into a division called HomeGoods, changing the way people shop for their home décor and entertaining supplies. From cookware to gourmet foods to outdoor accessories, the ever-changing eclectic array of home fashions makes it more affordable to put on a killer party.”

Home Goods is my favorite store and is a great way to find fun props for parties and celebrations. I am hosting a Ladies Nite Out here in a couple of weeks and will have fun using some of the beautiful serving pieces and dishes that I bought there to serve all of those chocolate desserts in!

We’re having to sell our grand old home of 26 years…sad to see this time come. To help shoo away the wistful and bittersweet feelings, I would love to throw a big old good-bye party for this wonderful home that has been ours through a lot of thick and thin. I can’t imagine anything more fantastic than inviting people who have helped us work on this home through the years, those who have loved it like we have and those whose friendships mean so much and who we will miss.

My hubby’s bday is July 5th so the excitement usually gets pushed out by 4th of July activities. I am in the midst of throwing him a party and trying to make it not overly patriotic so it still feels like his bday but so at the same time we can celebrate the 4th too! Kind of tricky! I LOVE the hotdog sailboats! Too cute.

I would love to do a a huge deserrt decorating party for my daughters and their friends – they are 5 and 3. What a hoot that would be! Messy too.
