Chilly “Chili” Dinner + S’more Bar!

chili fall party picturesI am thankful for a LOT this year, including the talented readers, designers, and photographers who send in their parties + shoots for me to share. I’m VERY thankful for this one sent in by Jenny Raulli of Bloom! She designed a backyard Chili Dinner Party “under the oaks” that has me ready to host a fall party for all my friends! Set up a dinner in your backyard and enjoy some chili in the cooler weather. Jenny added Thanksgiving touches in a color palette of gorgeous fall hues. Chili dinners often mean gathering around the TV with a bowl, but Jenny shows you how to create a beautifully themed event around this favorite fall meal!

Chili Backyard Dinner Party

“In the back of my property is an amazing oak field so I thought it would be fun to host a chili (or chilly since it’s November) under the oaks party to celebrate our fabulous fall weather and to give thanks to some amazing friends in my life. We brought is 15 bale of hay and 2 fire pits.” Jenny – Bloom

Favor Boxes

What a delightful idea for a gathering of friends and family! I adore the LATE NIGHT SNACK boxes! What a “steal-worthy” idea for any type of party! Fill simple kraft boxes with a variety of goodies (or set them out for guests to fill themselves) and adorn with a printed label. Everyone loves a party favor!

“For dinner, I made 3 different kinds of chili and served it with potatoes, salad, corn bread, bread bowls and all the fixings! Dessert featured a SMORE BAR with chocolate, vanilla and strawberry marshmallows, milk, dark and cookies and creme chocolate bars and lots of add-ins. I also served other harvest inspired desserts and in a tan color scheme which including salted caramel macaroons, mini apple pies, mini cheese cakes, pecan bars and caramel chex mix. The cupcakes were sinckerdoodle which I topped with a fondant acorn. Imagine my delight when I stumbed across the acorn cookie cutter in my baking drawer!” – Jenny – Bloom

Jenny created a harvest drink table too! It featured “Harvest Moon Punch” with wine glass labels pinned to a boxwood wreath. Clever and very creative! In keeping with the harvest theme and color scheme of black white and burlap, Jenny stuck with white or rustic wood serving pieces. Absolutely gorgeous and oh-so-inspirational – I’m already ready to throw my own “Chili” Dinner!
