Now that we’re well into the cozy holiday season, there is nothing more fabulous than a self-serve coffee bar! It’s the perfect party idea for breakfast parties, brunches, baby and bridal showers, neighborhood parties, open houses, you name it! It’s always a hit for mix-and-mingle parties. I’m excited to partner with BAILEYS® Coffee Creamers to share my top tips for styling a fabulous coffee bar party and celebrate their two new flavors – Macadamia Brittle and Bourbon Vanilla Pound Cake. I can personally attest that these new flavors are both oh so fabulous. So they are the perfect addition to a coffee bar party.
When setting up a coffee bar, I like to make it a true experience for each guest where they can create their own personal coffee beverage! First up, choose a color scheme! I wanted to tap into the warm and cozy colors of winter with creams, ivories, browns, and touches of silver and gold. Burlap made the perfect table covering paired with a silver coffee server for a rustic elegance. To showcase both the Macadamia Brittle and Bourbon Vanilla Pound Cake, I created a split bar with each side celebrating one of the flavors!
Since the new flavors are oh so delicious, I knew that I wanted to style the party around them to tie in the flavors with the treats too. So on the left were macadamia topped pastries and the right was a delicious bourbon vanilla pound cake. Mixed in were other breakfast goodies like powdered sugar donuts and mini pastries. Both the BAILEYS® Coffee Creamers made fabulous breakfast treats. Alongside the food were all the coffee mix-ins. I suggest you serve several types of mix-ins to truly represent the coffee bar experience. Guests can mix to their heart’s content! Of course the creamers were the star of the show and accompanied by rock candy stir sticks, mini marshmallows, and other yummy dipping cookies.
One of my other favorite coffee bar party tips is to use inexpensive coffee beans as decor! Simply pour them into clear vases, apothecary jars, or glass containers to use as holders for labels, signs, etc. I used mine to hold my two coffee bar signs (macadamia nut brittle and bourbon vanilla pound cake). I also used white and clear dishes to keep everything clean and coordinated. Pretty polka dotted appetizer plates were the perfect size for tasting the breakfast treats. I interwove gold polka dot ribbon towards the back of the coffee bar for a touch of pattern and whimsy. It really helped give it that party touch along with gorgeous ivory roses in white milk glass vases. This coffee bar breakfast party would be a perfect theme for any occasion!
