Valentine’s Day Tablescape: 3 Ways
Tips for styling a gorgeous Valentine’s Day tablescape – 3 ways!
We’ve already chatted show-stopping Valentine’s Day desserts and Valentine’s Day Cocktail Recipes so let’s move on to my other love…tablescapes (ahem, do you have a copy yet..?)!
You might not be throwing a huge shindig (or maybe you are – hooray!) but one thing I like to do for my own family is add some holiday fun to the dinner table for the week.
Growing up, my Mom always had festive holiday decorations (not just for Christmas) and it truly made each holiday so much more fun.
So don’t be afraid or feel silly to set a Valentine’s Day table just for your family. You’re creating special memories!
I wanted to share three different ways to set your Valentine’s table so hopefully one of these styles will suit your fancy and inspire you to style your own!
(1) BLUSH PINK & GOLD VALENTINE’S TABLESCAPE
First up, blush pinks and golds just hold a huge place in my heart. That little white heart plate (rimmed in gold)? Target, friends. It could be anything from a trinket holder to a little appetizer plate.
I love to pick up items like this when I notice them. Who doesn’t love an excuse to go to Target? The white makes them perfect with any set of dishes from your everyday dinnerware to any shade of pink!
Keep the flowers simple and opt for all white. I mixed tulips and baby’s breath (both simply from the grocery store) in small bud vases throughout the table.
It doesn’t have to be overly fancy or expensive to look beautiful! I think this tablescape is a touch of chic and very simple.
It’s perfect for a Valentine’s brunch or party with your girlfriends!
(2) MARBLE & NEUTRALS VALENTINE’S TABLESCAPE
I opted to go NEUTRAL for my second Valentine’s Day tablescape and utilize these fabulous marble plates. Silver decor like the BE MINE (from My Mind’s Eye) are the perfect pairing with gray.
I love neutral and simple this setting is. Blush pink roses and another pop of pink with the linen napkins give the table a Valentine’s Day touch while still keeping it simple.
If you really want to stay on color scheme, then grab a few extra bags of conversation hearts and pull out your coordinating color to put in little candy dishes around the table. I used white hearts here. Or go for chocolate because you can never go wrong with chocolate at Valentine’s Day!
(3) PURPLE & GOLD VALENTINE’S TABLESCAPE
I think purple is one of those long lost Valentine’s Day colors, you know? Red and pink sort of shoved their way in and purple just never gets its day.
Considering the Pantone color of the year, however, I’m all about some purple. This is a perfect way to add some Valentine’s Day fun to your table, especially if you have little ones at home.
These plates were also from the Target “Bullseye Spot” and such an affordable find.
Pair these festive heart plates with a simple white dinner plate. These above are my family’s “everyday” dinnerware, but it’s easy to jazz up with a fun salad or dessert plate.
Just place them on top and add a fun napkin. I also adore the gold bamboo flatware for a unique touch!

I have known your dear mom since 1985 and realized back then, her creativity would be a blessing to everyone she knew. You, Courtney, inherited her creativity… and have taken it to a higher level.
