Budget-Friendly Halloween Tablescape!
Halloween is right around the corner so it’s time to pick up a few cute Halloween items and get planning for a budget-friendly party! Iris Metel of Sweet Metel Moments has stopped by today to show us how to throw a super cute + whimsical Halloween Party on a budget! Like Iris, I love hitting up the dollar stores where you can find fabulous holiday decorations like spooky trees, gift bags, candy corn, etc. You don’t have to spend a lot to throw a fantastic Halloween party.
Take it away Iris… “Since having children, Halloween has been one of my favorite holidays, so I was very excited to create a fun and budget-friendly Halloween tablescape with DIY décor and affordable items from Dollar Tree and Walmart.”  I started by creating the party printables using the traditional orange and black colors, knowing that I would add some splashes of green to the table (like the big green fabric backdrop I used) . Since I always think of what my kids would like when planning a party, I thought of items that my kindergartener might want to bring to the classroom to pass out to his friends. So there are snack items in sandwich bags and sack bags with treats that can be grabbed or handed out. Here are some other budget-friendly and DIY details:
- Â The floor-length tablecloth is actually a queen-sized flat bedsheet purchased from Walmart.
- The spooky trees are from Dollar Tree and to add height, I wrapped tissue boxes in black and white polka dot wrapping paper
-  The big table backdrop was made by my husband using 2×2 wooden beams to create a frame (the beams are very affordable at Home Depot!). Then I stapled a twin-size black bedsheet over it to make sure it isn’t see through. Then for every party, I can just attach whatever fabric over it to match the colors/theme. In this case I got this cute green and white polka dot fabric from Joann.
-  To add more detail to the plain tablecloth, I made a rosette paper banner using items like regular office paper and cupcake liners. To view the full tutorial, you can check it out here!
I had so much fun creating and styling this Halloween Party and my kids enjoyed eating the yummy treats and snacks. Have a safe and happy Halloween!

What a fabulous tablescape, that is age appropriate for many different grades depending on what kind of treats offered. I also love the table fabric backdrop! Wtg!!
how did you make the water bottle labels? or did you buy them like that?
Hi Leah! Sweet Metel Moments did the styling for this party so she’d have the answer to the water bottle question. I’m not positive but I think she made them. Her link is in the credits section so you can click through to her website to contact her. Thanks!
