Mother’s Day Brunch + Crab Appetizer
Hat’s Off To Mom!
Create a memorable centerpiece by using an old hat and embellishing it with fresh flowers. Head to the attic and find one of grandmother’s classics. You could take it up another notch and have a “Mad Hatter’s Tea Party” and say that hats are required but gloves are optional! Then try a new recipe like this delicious crab delight appetizer.
Crab Delight Appetizer
1 seven-ounce can claw crab
1 cup butter, softened
1 five-ounce jar sharp Old English cheese, softened
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon Worcesteshire sauce
1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
6 English muffins, divided into 12 halves
Combine and blend the first 7 ingredients. Spread on the 12 split muffin halves. Each muffin may be cut into 8 bite-size pieces as appetizers or left whole for a brunch or luncheon. Freeze until needed. Bake thawed at 400 for 10 to 15 minutes or until browned. Yields: 12 muffin halves or 96 appetizers

That sounds yummy – why wait for Mother’s Day??? I am definitely emailing this to my daughter to make for us for M.D.!
What a gorgeous brunch set up! Love the hat!
The table decor is gorgeous, and the appetizer sounds yummy, yet so easy to prepare. Great idea!
Is the hat resting on a hat stand, or a candelabra?
Miel, it’s a tall glass candlestick — but you could use a hurricane glass or really, anything tall!
Glass candlestick is brilliant! The clear glass and the height allow guests to see each other despite the centerpiece. Again, great idea!
I love the pink and purple color scheme, and the hat adds a precious touch!
The dip sounds delicious. Do you need a taster-tester??
So perfectly pretty. Well done!
