A Dapper 30th Birthday Party Bash!

I am just smitten over this dapper 30th birthday bash by Kaella Lynn Events with photography by Kelly Freedman. It’s not often we see guy’s parties and especially not to this level of fabulous detail. It’s no secret I love bow ties (part of my wedding theme), so I was already loving this party when I saw the invitations (above) with their gorgeous calligraphy and bow tie details (handcrafted by Kaella). Kaella wanted to create a fun and unique design for her husband’s 30th.

Details From the Planner: “I’ve know my husband since my first days of college, and over the last decade I’ve seen him develop into quite a stylish, smart and successful gentleman. Dapper seems to be the fitting word here and was the perfect theme to feature his bow-tie fancy. The fabulous event planning studio, Blu Bungalow, was the perfect venue to host the event with it’s clean modern lines, brick walls and velvet curtains.

I chose a color palette of navy, gray and gold ~ dignified and masculine. To make sure the environment was equally light and fun (not stuffy), balloons created bold and whimsical backdrops and bow-tie details were infused throughout the décor. From the water labels, signage and cup decals to an entire bow-tie bar where guests could learn how to tie a bow-tie!

This was a social and outgoing crowd, so to keep them on their feet (and on the dance floor), I went with cake and pie pops for dessert. Seeing as Erin loves sugary sour candy, I added a candy buffet with some of his favorites that guests could enjoy or even pack in the favor bags for a late night sweet snack. Everyone was looking quite dapper, but of course, the birthday boy stood out among the rest in his new bow-tie from BHLDN.com.”
