A “Taste of Tuscany” Italian Dinner Party
You might remember this darling book signing party for Emily Giffin we featured a few weeks? Well, Petite Social sent us this “Taste of Tuscany” styled party and we were smitten. You see that cute wire basket above? I have one almost exactly the same and now have inspiration to use it in a party! I also love the fresh colors, rustic touches, and all the pretty details.…take a look…
Katie shared her inspiration! “Inspired by my Italian Deruta Serving pieces that I had acquired during a trip to Tuscany, I wanted to create a simple and intimate Italian-themed tablescape incorporating fresh garden fare of the season. Fall is my favorite season and I’m often drawn to rustic design and décor elements. Using rich hues of navy, red, green, and yellow from the Deruta designs, Bird created the perfect set of printables for my dinner party idea.”
More about the food + tables from Katie: “I always love incorporating the current season’s fresh fare. And with Fall as the inspiration, I was able to create a rustic, warm and intimate tablescape using bright red tomatoes, green herbs, and bright yellow
sunflowers.
Instead of creating a traditional dessert table, I decided to create my own “Italian Market” stocked with pantry goodies for my guests to take home. Homemade sauce, fresh bread, baskets of garden grown tomatoes, fresh herbs, and of course, a sweet treat. Guests were offered a bag to fill take home goodies with.
Doesn’t this party just have you ready to invite friends over and host your own? I adore the little touches and the combination of rustic and fresh! It truly makes you feel transported to the beauty of Tuscany! Thanks Katie!
