Old McDonald Barnyard Playdate Party!
What is cuter than a Barnyard Playdate Party? No matter what the occasion (birthday, summer party, etc), kids are going to love this cute + colorful theme. The team at RV Parties is quite the talented duo! From chevron burlap ribbon to adorable 1st place treat bags, they set up a summertime playdate sure to please! With cake pops, cupcakes, and more, there wasn’t a lack of adorable themed sweet treats to go around! I also love the sunflowers and fabric garland. Victoria and Rachel of RV Parties set up this amazing Barnyard Party at their favorite local Kansas City kids’ location, the Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead. We’re lucky to have lots of party details here so you can get inspired to throw your own Barnyard Bash!
“We put together all of the printables for the playdate with simple colors of blue, white, yellow and a touch of red. That cute chicken was definitely our inspiration for all of the printables! And because we were celebrating friendship and fun with 16 kids four and under, we wanted the items to be recognizable to kids. The four-year-olds knew all the words – Moo, Oink Oink, and E-I-E-I-O.
All of the dessert goodness was gathered on a table covered with denim and burlap – so very country! Little hay bales held the very best cake pops donated by Miss Lulu’s Sweet Treats. Cupcakes from Boxer Lady Bakery, chick cookies made by RV Parties, and farm candies (gummy eggs and cow tails) rounded out the sweets. There were also kid size bags of fresh popcorn – easy for little hands to grab and enjoy!Drinks at the “watering hole” were gathered on a vintage red metal cart. Juice box wrappers were featured as well as little bottles of water for the animals! We also assembled little bags of gummy eggs for the guests to take home. Kids loved ’em!The large windows were covered with giant coloring sheets for kids big and little. The familiar animals were easy to color and personalize, and the little kids reached for crayons to add a bright splash throughout the party!
We knew little farmhands would need a place to sit and snack so we set the table with a cute – and easy – place setting. There was everyone’s favorite chocolate milk, egg yolk plates and little napkin rolls. Every party needs flowers, and the white hydrangeas and sunflowers really popped as part of the barnyard decor.Â
It was so fun to play with textiles and patterns while setting up for the party and to play with all the little ones during the party! It’s the perfect summer party.” –Â RV Parties
