Pretty Party Decorations: Garlands

Garlands aren’t a new trend by any means, but with the rush of DIY ideas across the blogosphere, wedding and party enthusiasts are finding more and more ideas for creating these darling decorations! From paper flower garlands to metallic confetti dots strung across pretty strings, garlands add height and drama to your party or wedding! String them across the back of a chair, down a banister, above a doorway, and over a party table.

If you are new to the DIY world and have an upcoming party, garlands are the perfect place to try your hand at making your own party decorations! There are TONS of  “HOW TO” and “DIY” Garland Tutorials across the internet. Just do a simple google search or hit up some of my favorite wedding and party blogs! If you love the ones you see above, look for the links below – many of them are DIY tutorials! Remember, if you don’t have all the materials – get creative and swap out for what you do have. Try baker’s twine instead of ribbon or even fishing line! Get creative!

I LOVE GARLAND. I found you on another blog and just had to check you out. I use a lot of garlands for my birthday party themes, and you have just given me some great ideas. I am so using the tassels for my tea party theme and the hearts for the valentine’s theme.

Here’s what I’m going to do with the scraps of fabric garlands…I collect fabric in my travels and use it for different craft projects. I have some silk from China that would be perfect to make some of these, add strings of lights and hang red lanterns for my Asian Birthday Party theme. Thanks.
