Red velvet is perfect for Valentine’s day because (a) it tastes amazing and (b) hello! it’s red! So, I decided to turn one of my favorite flavors into a MILKSHAKE! Red velvet milkshakes to be exact. Sip one with your sweetie on February 14th or serve up mini versions of this treat at a Valentine’s Party!

You could use mini shooter glasses or cordial tasting glasses (like I used) for these red velvet milkshakes. They’re REALLY easy to make and seriously delish. I topped mine with little heart sprinkles (you could use any sprinkle you want!).

Valentine’s Day is the perfect holiday to invite friends over, watch a fun romantic comedy, and set up a milkshake bar! You know, like an ice cream sundae bar? But exclusively for milkshakes. All the fixings. Some cute straws. All ready!

I always seem to gravitate towards anything “Red velvet” flavored so naturally these red velvet milkshakes are one of my favorite treats. It certainly doesn’t have to be Valentine’s Day to enjoy them.

  6. Thank you for the great recipe! Fantastic blog by the way! I’ve included this recipe in my weekly roundup of useful sites at http://www.doomestic.com I look forward to making these on Thursday!

  7. Question: do you have to actually make and prepare the cake mix, as if you were making the cake using the directions on the cake mix box, then put the prepared cake batter in? Or just simply 3 table spoons of the cake mix itself ?

  8. Katie Marchiolk says:

Hey Courtney! I made these last night for my boyfriend and I and they were fantastic! We both loved them. Congrats on all your success with your blog and thanks for all the cute ideas! Hope you are doing well!

  9. Can I make hot chocolate if I melt the Ice cream?

  10. You should not use raw Flour in a recipe. Somes could be really sick with e.coli.
