Southern Nashville Wedding

Are you wedding planning now for a fall 2011 wedding? We have lots of inspiration for you in this wedding showcase! This past fall, I attended the wedding of my friends Austin and Jenni at historic Cedarwood in Nashville, Tennessee. Jenni looked absolutely stunning in her Alvina Valenta dress from Panache in Beverly Hills, California. I knew immediately that it would be a wedding I shared on Pizzazzerie as it had lots of little touches that made it extra special from the southern venue to the handmade favors.

Guests were greeted with delicious apple cider while mixing and mingling prior to the ceremony. Following the ceremony, cocktails were served and guests found their escort cards. Her dad cut custom fall leaves and her mom hand wrote each of the guests’ names for the escort cards. Dancing and a fun photo booth made for a night full of laughs and hugs!

Guests were treated to fabulous favors (we have the recipe) so keep reading!

Favors: DIY Details

With the help of her family and friends, Jenni and Austin made the favors!  Custom CDs were given with the couple’s favorite songs complete with a cartoon of the bride and groom drawn by Jenni’s step-mom. Next came deliciously sweet mini bite-sized smores! Chris and I were literally fighting over them, they are that good! WE HAVE THE RECIPE FOR YOU!

Smore Bites

2 boxes of Golden Grahams
1 bag of mini marshmallows
1 stick of butter
1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate (or can change to your preference–milk, dark, etc)

Melt butter and marshmallows.
Smash bags of cereal and mix into marshmallow mix.
When cooling, shape mix into bite-sized balls and let cool.
Dip into chocolate and let chocolate cool.

Enjoy! :)

I just love papercrafting and Jenni’s wedding was the perfect opportunity for some serious mass production. Lots more of my creations are on my blog damasklove.blogspot.com – take a look:-)
