Wedding Showcase: Color

Sometimes taking a moment to step away from the computer, ignore the emails, and take a breather allows you to discover gems like this wedding! I was doing just that recently when I peaked over my friend’s shoulder and saw her browsing pictures of a wedding she had recently been in – this gorgeous wedding!  I shouted, “Where is that?” “Who is that?’ “I need that wedding!” So, thank you to the bride, Ashley Vanoss, for letting me showcase your special day.

A lot of people ask me if I have my entire wedding planned out – quite the contrary – I have no idea, I do know that after seeing this wedding, the idea of color is at the top of my list. I love the colorful bouquets! Don’t you? And the photography is nothing short of amazing – Ben Dodds is a wedding and lifestyle photographer located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

Ashley and Tim’s main goal was to bring their walks of life together to share with their friends and family. Ashley’s father designed the wooden signs to make sure everyone attending was represented: the signs included all cities where Ashley and Tim have lived, both their colleges (Furman University and University of Washington), etc! I love this.

They were married in Knoxville, TN but currently live in Seattle so they combined a bit of both cultures by having bluegrass music playing as guests arrived and serving “Rub of Love” Salmon Seasoning from their favorite Seattle chef, Tom Douglas.

Venue: Maple Grove Inn
Flowers: Clay Pots Floral Events
Photography: Ben Dodds
