Tomato Soup

Fresh tomato soup that's easy to make and oh so delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup onion chopped
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cups fresh tomatoes chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery chopped
  • 1 tablespoon basil chopped
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 4 cups V8 juice (plain or spicy)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • In a large pot, saute onions in olive oil until they're transparent. 
  • Add all additional ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes. 
  • Serve with grilled cheese, ham biscuits, or enjoy on its own! 

Notes

Garnish with croutons, chopped basil, crumbled bacon, or fresh diced tomatoes!
