Homemade Coleslaw

You will love this Southern side dish. Homemade coleslaw is perfect for barbecues as a side or on top of your favorite BBQ sandwich!

Ingredients

  • 1 small head of green cabbage shredded
  • 1 small head of purple cabbage shredded
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 carrot finely shredded
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, stir together vinegar, mayonnaise, mustard, celery seed and salt until well mixed. 
  • Combine shredded cabbages, onion and carrot in a mixing bowl. Pour over slaw dressing and toss. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
