This decadent dulce de leche brownies are made with just a few simple ingredients like brownie mix, caramels, sweetened condensed milk and butter! They're dreamy, chocolatey and so delicious!
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine brownie mix ingredients. Spray an 8-inch baking pan well with cooking spray. Alternatively, you can line it with parchment paper.
Reserve 1 cup brownie batter and set aside. Pour the rest of the chocolate brownie batter into the pan and smooth it evenly to reach all sides. Bake for 20 minutes.
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine caramels, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Stir often to avoid burning. It could take about 10 minutes, be patient! I like to do this step while my brownies are finishing in the oven.
Once caramels have completely melted, spread dulce de leche mix over the partially baked brownies.
Drop remaining brownie batter in spoonfuls on top.
Use a knife to swirl together the brownie batter and dulce de leche mixture.
Return to oven for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely. These are super ooey gooey so let them set up a bit before trying to cut them into squares.
