Carnival-Style “Oven Fried” Candy Bar Bites

Ingredients
1
sheet puff pastry
thawed but still chilled (not frozen)
16-20
mini candy bar bites
or 4-6 full-size candy bars
1/8
cup
powdered sugar
1
egg white
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Cut puff pastry into small squares (1.5″ by 1.5″) using a sharp knife.
Place a candy bar bite in the center of each puff pastry square.
Wrap the puff pastry dough around the candy bar bite, and press the seams together firmly.
Dip the seam end in the egg white, and place seam-side down on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown (watch carefully).
Remove from oven and dust with powdered sugar!
Enjoy! Be careful, as centers can be hot! Let cool slightly. Serve warm or room temperature.
For full-size candy bars, follow directions as above, wrapping the entire bar in the puff pastry dough.
