Sophisticated Black + White Halloween Party!

Hi, I’m Courtney and I’m addicted to black and white stripes. They were my wedding theme so when this Halloween party hit my inbox from Debbie of Wants & Wishes, I about died. Love it. Black and white is the perfect color combo for Halloween because it truly allows pops of orange, lime green, purple, or even pink (remember this?) to POP!

Debbie sought to create a Halloween collection that was suitable for all ages (adults, teens, and young kids alike). The classic black and white did the trick (like the old Hitchcock movies). She shared, “If you are doing a teen scary movie party you could pop red with “bloody” items and watch a thriller! For the young kids pop orange for a not too scary party. For the adults, as we still like to party and dress up! You can stick with the black and white and and watch the classic old movies (as we will appreciate them more).”

To create this Spooktacular Halloween, Debbie had “sinfully sweets” candy and desserts. Candy bars, rock candy suckers, M&M’s, mini mint spider eggs for refreshing the pallet. Some of the baked good included chocolate cupcakes with black and white swirled frosting, homemade ghost and spider suckers, cookies and cream popcorn.

She set up a spooktacular tree hung with witches caldrons closed with 2″ printable toppers (from her collection) as the “lid” secured with washi tape! And isn’t the pom-pom tissue paper spider too cute? The great thing about a black and white theme is that you can incorporate simple white dishes into your design (like white plates to serve treats and white cake stands for cupcakes and other goodies)!
