A Collected Green Thanksgiving Table with Rattan and Silver Touches

Every Thanksgiving, I love to design a table that feels fresh yet still steeped in tradition, the kind of table where old and new can come together, just like family around the table! This year’s design came together around a green block-print tablecloth layered with natural textures, botanical touches, and a few special heirloom pieces.

Green Thanksgiving Table with Silver

I’ve always believed that a beautiful table doesn’t have to be complicated, it just needs to feel gathered and personal. This year’s design came together around a gorgeous green block-print tablecloth (from Christina Dickson Home) layered with rattan and bamboo textures, antique silver and lots of botanical touches. It gives me a sort of woodland/Southern vibe that I adore around Thanksgiving!

I have all the details for the table below, but feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions!

Thanksgiving Table Details

Place Settings

Each year, I pull out our Plymouth Turkey Plates. I adore them, and they have just enough colors in them to work with each year for slightly different Thanksgiving tables. I set them on top of my woven scalloped placemats. Each plate was topped with my Christina Dickson Home napkins in the Dragonfly Lures Walnut Brown print with a bamboo napkin ring and a sprig of greenery (fern and small magnolia leaf) and feather tucked in for a little extra touch.

For glassware, I paired my mother’s silver goblets with Juliska champagne flutes and a soft green wine glass.

Mini Greenery Arrangements

One of my favorite traditions at the table is adding a mini vase to each place setting. If you’ve been a long-time follower, you might have seen this throughout my tablescapes. They can serve as a little take-home favor too!

For Thanksgiving this year, I pulled out my collection of silver vases, some tiny and some medium, all a mix! My Mom and I filled each with sprigs of green ferns and other greenery. This is such an easy way to add a bit of charm to any table. I love that no two arrangements are exactly alike.

Thanksgiving Table Centerpiece

In the center of the table, I used my mother’s silver champagne bucket filled with natural greenery both from the garden and Trader Joe’s. Nothing fancy, just simple and classic. I love how it turned out!

Down the center there’s scattered magnolia leaves, rattan pumpkins, rattan votive holders and white taper candles. There’s such a simple elegance found in fresh greenery and natural textures, especially during the holidays.

If you’re setting your own Thanksgiving table this year, consider mixing in something old with something natural. It’s such a lovely way to honor generations past while creating new memories around your own table!
