Baby Girl Update: Start of the 3rd Trimester!
First of all, how is it possibly already time for the 3rd trimester. Just that phrase – “third trimester” – seems reserved for women who have nurseries finished, names for their babies, hospital bags packed, know what they’re doing, and so on… Me? I’m still not over the crazy feeling of kicks (and seeing her move which is even crazier). Her nursery isn’t done. We have no name. I’m still shaking my head that I’m so lucky to have even gotten pregnant and carried this baby this far. But alas, THIRD TRIMESTER, we meet for the first time! Ready or not (so not)!
Here’s how things are going…(follow @Pizzazzerie on instagram for more daily updates)!Â
Symptoms: I hesitate to say “none” because just writing that makes me think I’ll close the laptop and be bombarded with back pain, headaches, swollen feet and all the other typical pregnancy issues but really truly – I feel great! Maybe it’s God’s way of letting me off the hook considering my all-day-sickness during the first trimester. Or maybe it’s all just around the corner…! I do get tired but I’m also 99 mph with projects now and that would tire the average person out. Sometimes my back hurts but then again, it’s always “sometimes hurt”. So I’m considering myself very lucky!
Here are some fabrics and paint samples I pulled together during my “inspiration” phase!
Nursery: I have made progress, but I have a lot more to do! Crib is in but still looking over mattresses and bedding. To bumper or not bumper? Drapes and glider are due in any day. I still have to find a chest of drawers and art for the walls, but it’s coming along. PAINT was the big question. I only looked at 2938492332 pinks. I wanted a really subtle shade of pink. Turns out there are eighty billion different types of pinks. Lavender pinks. Gray pinks. Beige pinks. Peachy pinks. Finally, I had to just make a decision so I chose a subtle pink with a touch of peach to it. Trim is white.
My sweet husband helping put together the crib!
Size of Baby: 16 Inches long, 2.3 pounds – head of cauliflower
Cravings:Â Not really any! I still like certain foods over others but nothing crazy. I’m still preferring savory/salty but getting a little sweet tooth back.
What I’m Looking Forward To: Getting the nursery all finished up and deciding on a name!
Stay tuned for a super fabulous giveaway + more coming soon (from one of my FAVE mom-to-be brands)!
such a special time! our first was a girl too, and I loved making a nursery all girly and pink!
Thanks Andrea! It’s definitely been exiting! I promised hubs that it wouldn’t be TOTALLY pink but afraid it’s looking that way :) haha! “oops” :)
No bumper until they are older and able to lift their neck and roll. We only put a bumper in once Chase started swinging his head in his sleep (when rolling over) and whacking it against the wood (probably about 1). We thought he’d appreciate a softer surface : )
Courtney you look absolutely adorable! Such an exciting time. I need you to email or msg me your address– want to send you a little something…
Where did you get that crib? LOVE it!
It’s from Bratt Decor and it’s the Distressed White Venetian Crib :)

Oh you look adorable!! I’m 25 weeks and am also a little “nervous” that I feel so great at this point. Like I’m jinxing myself by admitting it! hah And we’re also in the “no name, nursery just got a paint job, nothing else done” category for now! hah It’ll all come together and I can’t wait to see the rest of your projects!
LOVE the crib and the soft pink fabric. perfect southern pink!
Bella would be a nice name and I’m sure your mother in law would like it!!! :) We’re all so excited for you all and can’t wait for her arrival!
