Taste of Home’s “Mrs. Holiday” Search!

So today I traveled down to Nashville’s News Channel 5 to help spread the word about Taste of Home Magazine’s search for a spokesperson and then headed to my own audition. It’s a quick 2 minute video where I chose a holiday and shared a recipe. I chose New Year’s Eve (it’s often a forgotten holiday and I think it needed more love) and a dark chocolate cake + champagne buttercream recipe.

I got to meet casting director Vinnie Potestivo (he discovered Nick Cannon, Mandy Moore, Molly Sims, Vanessa Minillo, etc… super awesome) who was awesome! He loved the push-up pops!

If I win… (the top 100 based on votes are then judged by a panel) I receive $50,000 (holy cow) and a spokesperson role for Taste of Home magazine where I can travel and help create content. Oh my heavens, I’d die and be in heaven.

My sweet friend Jill helped me haul my props + treats down to the audition spot. Here’s a quick phone pic she snapped during the photo shoot we did before the audition with the Taste of Home crew. If I get the actual photos, I’ll swap this out but for now, here’s a phone pic.
