Easy Ways to Celebrate New Year’s Eve

Celebrate New Year's Eve Tablescape

While my love for gold will never die, I’ve been having a silver moment lately! It’s SO cold outside that the silver/white/grey theme just sort of matches the weather, don’t you think?

If you’re bringing out the champagne, appetizers, and treats to celebrate New Year’s Eve, you’ve come to the right place. I wanted to share a few last minute ideas from the tablescape to the New Year’s Eve food!

The tablescape above utilizes simple Christmas ornaments right off the tree (silver stars) along with a trio of white, grey, and clock plates. The clock plates were a very lucky HomeGoods find a couple of years ago, but here are some festive paper plates in a clock design. They would certainly make clean-up easier! Add in silver party horns and hats throughout. Every year, I like to get a festive New Year’s Eve party supply kit (here are some) and pull out my favorite party flair. Don’t put out every single piece or it might be excessive, just scatter a few on the table and let the kids enjoy playing with the rest! Many of them don’t have the year written on them so you can pull them out from year to year.

I tied silver tinsel ribbon around white linen napkins for a festive touch. The silver ribbon was leftover in my Christmas decorations. Use what you have at home (in your color scheme) and you’ll be surprised how gorgeous your table will look after a little “shopping” of your home. This way, I save money to splurge on champagne and food for the evening! Mini champagnes are not a necessity, but I always love to include these at my place settings, especially when they  match my decor.

If you happen to find my latest book Pizzazzerie: Entertain in Style under your tree this Christmas, then you’ll find quite a bit of New Year’s Eve inspiration from DIY gold leaf (you could use silver leaf too) chargers to my family’s famous overnight coffee cake recipe. If you don’t have the book yet, you can find it here! The table above is from the book photographed by Evin Photography. The New Year’s Brunch is one of my favorite chapters in the book and provides so much inspiration for bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays, and more!

Gold New Year's Eve Tablescape

I adore these Olivia and Oliver Splatter Plates! I’m determined to use them throughout the year but first up is New Year’s of course! I love how they pair with gold. Again, I used gold star ornaments and ribbon from my Christmas supply. I wanted to show how easy it is to create a New Year’s Eve tablescape in various color schemes.
