Elegant Thanksgiving Tablescape with Touches of Purple and Gold!
There are so many words that come to mind when I see this Thanksgiving tablescape: gorgeous, elegant, warm, golden, I could go on! It’s full of pops of gold and purple, giving it a bit of a unique twist which I love. Jennifer Lynn Events did a fantastic job styling this elegant Thanksgiving shoot with a talented team of gals including my sweet friend Emily of Potter + Butler. I love the GIVE THANKS banner over the fireplace and all the mantle decor too.
There is nothing more elegant than a decorated room for the holidays, ready for your family to enjoy the Thanksgiving day with delicious food and great company. This tablescape is the perfect backdrop for the day. I love every detail, especially the pops of purple and gold. I also love the cake. We traditionally think of Thanksgiving as a variety of pies and other desserts but why not have a cake too? It’s certainly okay to celebrate with cake any day (I believe).
Are you ready for your Thanksgiving table? Are you aiming for a traditional look with touches of modern elements? Try adding in an unusual color like purple seen here or even aqua/turquoise! The warm fall hues pair well with bright colors and patterns. Get creative and jazz up your Thanksgiving this year!

Gorgeous! Love the purple!
Ahhh Love seeing this on this site! So excited my studio mantel colors could inspire such a beautiful shoot, and such a great team to help it all come to real life…these ladies have skills. :) And my mom is pretty excited her table cloth, chargers, and the turkey that inspired it all is in the shoot. That purple cloth turkey (some more here if your interested.. http://www.sassymouth.net/blog/archives/1790) is something I love every year…I think it is from the Christmas Tree Shop….I love it…I take it’s picture every Thanksgiving. So this year when buying the stuff for my mantel, I wanted to sort of mimic that turkey. But that purple, definitely that purple. And a color that runs throughout my studio is that bright purple, I have a chair (sort of pictured above) that I painted that color, and a few candle sticks. I love to spray paint. And all those colors just made me feel good. :) If you couldn’t tell, I am pretty excited to see this here… Woot woot.
Love this! Think I will add the dark purple to my table setting this year! Thanks for the inspiration!
Love this reminds me of my wedding 10 years ago!
