Dreamy, absolutely dreamy. LMG Events and Chudleigh Weddings teamed up with a fantastic line up of vendors nationwide to design this glam Valentine’s Day wedding shoot. The purpose of a styled shoot is to showcase the talent of the vendors and provide inspiration at a tip-top level. This does just that! There are dozens of ideas in this shoot that you can pull from for your own Valentine’s party, Wedding, or other event! From the colorful macarons to the printables! (stay tuned for an upcoming post on my new favorite sweet spot in NYC, a macaron bakery that is to die for!)
Mara shared with us a bit about the sweet treats you see here! “Our beautiful pastries were created by Executive Pastry Chef Jeffrey de Leon from the Grand America Hotel. Macaroons in various flavors, adorned strawberries and the most beautiful desserts in champagne glasses filled our dessert table along with bridal accessories from within the Lily & Iris shop, where the shoot was held. Lily & Iris is a beautiful white and exposed brick space that sells bridesmaids dresses, mother of the bride gowns and short wedding reception gowns but is also available for private events. The clean and urban feel of the space was a great fit for our shoot.”
Mara of LMG Events shared some of the details of the shoot with us! “Valentine’s Day is my absolute favorite holiday, so I teamed up with my favorite local and national vendors to style a shoot that would give brides some great inspiration for a Valentine’s Day Wedding or E-Session. This shoot would also translate well into a valentines day party. In an effort to go ultra feminine and glam I knew I wanted to be sure to “bling it out” so I incorporated Swarovski Crystals EVERYWHERE I possibly could. I joked that our color palette was fuchsia, pink, honeysuckle (2011 Pantone color of the year!), silver, white and bling! We kept the crystal element consistent through out all the environments we created with containers, crystal light fixtures and table decor elements.”
Mara said, “Z Gallerie has an incredible selection of mirrored and crystal adorned table decor and accessories that complimented our vision perfectly. The mirrored placemats and napkin rings match the crystal vases perfectly, adding a cohesive feel to our table.
This week, I have been in New York City at a Martha Stewart event. I met Maureen and Adria of Anders Ruff. I have worked with them before on shoots, and must say they are just as darling in person too. Mara also worked with them on this shoot. She shared with us, “Pantone’s 2011 Color of the Year was announced recently as Honeysuckle. Our printables designer, Anders Ruff, incorporated Honeysuckle as our accent color on all the champagne tags, dessert tags and pastry flags. The entire kit is available for sale on their Etsy shop so brides can easily DIY this project. The kit is extra special because it contains gorgeous calligraphy (Calligraphy by Jennifer) as opposed to regular computer fonts.”

Wow, those are some serious Macarons! They are huge. Fun for pictures though. Are they actually edible or just fun decorations?
The macaroons are 100% edible and they’re delicious. They’re average size too, not any larger than others I’ve seen.
