A few weekends ago, I headed to Memphis with lots of Children’s Party Network gals including sweet Do of Piggy Bank Parties. She instantly became a sweet friend and mentor. She’s talented, creative, selfless, and genuine! Adore her and this Happy Harvest Party she recently designed! The tree centerpiece is my absolute favorite element of this party. I think this would be perfect for a kids table (or adults!) for Thanksgiving. It’s full of whimsy with a touch of mod. Love!
“The air is crisp. The autumn breeze is blowing. The ever changing leaves are slowly floating to the ground. The harvest season has arrived and my favorite time of year inspired the Happy Harvest Table. I designed the “Happy Harvest” and “Autumn” banners for our church last year and they turned out so well that I wanted to expand on the theme.” – Do, Piggy Bank Parties
Do used a deep chocolate tablecloth and after seeing P.S. It’s in the Details’ Friendly Forests on Etsy, she was inspired to create a colorful little forest centerpiece using a mix of traditional and modern patterns. To keep the centerpiece low for easy conversation, the trees were placed on an old checkerboard which was turned over to feature the stained wood grain. I love how Do thought of conversation as tall centerpieces really create a distance between guests.
“Each placesetting was layered with a burgundy napkin for a pop of color, an inexpensive bamboo plate used as a charger, a green plastic plate from a summer picnic set and an ivory salad plate. The plates were topped off with a brown cloth napkin and a twig napkin ring embellished with a leaf and gingham tag. The placesettings were completed with silverware, gingham placecards and glass drinking jars topped with autumn ombre cardstock and brown gingham ribbon.
In addition to the table, I set up a simple buffet on the side using bamboo plates as platters and wooden boxes to elevate the servingware. Two galvanized beverage dispensers flanked the serving buffet which was finished off with autumn trees, mosaic candle holders and a banner accented with fall leaves.” – Do, Piggy Bank Parties
