Mimosas and Mistletoe Tasting Party
What a chic and fun spin on a holiday party!  Tanya Martinez from Save the Date for Cupcakes put together this swanky little bash for a few of her close friends. I love the idea of offering several small bites of fun foods, it allows your guests to have a little taste of everything!  Plus, not only does it look great, it makes for easy entertaining, too! Tanya fills us in on all of the details:
This was a very small party I hosted with a few of my dearest friends. I didn’t want to do anything too big and over the top seeing how I’m hosting Christmas at my house this year. I thought a tasting party would be the perfect way to break the ice and get everyone into the holiday spirit~ plus I’ve always wanted to host a tasting party with comfort foods and good company! To keep things simple I chose a white palette. I used most of my tasting dishes from Pier 1 and the white linens I had on hand.
On the menu: Mimosas topped with fresh raspberries, Crudité w/ Buttermilk-Black Pepper Dip, Gazpacho, Caprese Salad, Mini Grilled Cheese, Mac & Cheese, Cupcake Push-Pops, Cookies & Milk Shooters, Gingerbread Cake Pops, and Vanilla Cake in a Jar.
Seeing how everything was “mini”, tasting was practically guilt free! I had no problem going back for seconds and even thirds in some cases! My favorite part of the table was the gorgeous Cardboard Candelabra Cake-Pop centerpieces that I draped in crystal garland. I love to think outside of the box, and I wanted a “sweet” centerpiece that would make a statement. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome!!! I’ve been dying to try the Push-Pops I see everywhere and I was thrilled to find “Mini” Push-Pops for my cupcakes. Finally, I layered cake and buttercream frosting in mini spice jars for my guest to take home as a small reminder of how everything tastes better bite-sized.
