A “Sweet” St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape

A day full of good luck is certainly one to celebrate in my book! St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect time of year to host a dinner party for friends and family. It’s usually the start of warmer weather with spring right around the corner. This year, I’m thrilled to share tips and ideas for styling your own St. Patrick’s Day tablescape – with a sweet finish of course!

Lindt LINDOR Truffles come in a rainbow of colors and lots of gold hues so it was a no-brainer to incorporate them into my St. Patrick’s Day tablescape! We all know that this day is really about finding that lucky “pot of gold,” right? Well, each of my guests was greeted with a miniature pot of gold filled to the brim with gold LINDOR Truffles! Delish! As for the rainbow, one really lucky guest was greeted with a colorful rainbow of colored truffles. I also recreated the rainbow on a cake stand with a gold base for all guests to pass around and pick their favorite chocolates. You could easily give everyone a rainbow of truffles on their plates as well.

For the little pots of gold, I spray painted small plastic bowls in gold. You could also spray them in black. If you don’t want to spray paint, even just a simple cellophane gift bag tied with a gold bow would do the trick! Trust me, your guests will be ecstatic to see LINDOR truffles at their place setting!

To set the table, I used simple white dinnerware with a gold edge because it’s clean and chic with a touch of gold that is perfect for St. Patrick’s Day. I have a set of green champagne flutes that I was dying to use, so I was excited to add those to each setting as well. Kate Spade green napkins added a pop of green against the white dishes and tablecloth.

The centerpiece laurel leaf runner is my absolute favorite element to this St. Patrick’s Day tablescape. We used laurel leaves right from my own backyard to tie onto a thin rope and lay down the center of the table. We tucked in gold coins and little green shamrocks as well as simple white tapered candles in antique brass candlestick holders. I love mixing “new” and “old” elements together to create a one-of-a-kind party table!

Since St. Patrick’s Day falls right before the first day of spring, I knew I wanted flowers incorporated as well. Mini vases of white tulips added a simple floral element to accompany the leaf garland. This also kept decorations low so guests could enjoy chatting with each other across the table. The tulips were simply from my super market so always keep your eyes open for pretty blooms when you’re shopping.

While I love the simple white and green elements to this tablescape, it’s truly the chocolate that makes it such a “sweet” affair! Since LINDOR truffles come in a full rainbow of colors, it was easy to pull together a colorful touch to St. Patrick’s Day!

I’m even thinking of other ways to use the rainbow of colored truffles such as wrapping up a big container of them with a gold bow for a teacher’s gift idea. Wouldn’t that be fun? I always love easy and simple ideas and Lindt Chocolate is always well received! I love the smooth, melting center of the LINDOR truffles!
