Vintage Americana 4th of July Party!
We are beyond thrilled to share this gorgeous 4th of July party with you! Touches of vintage style combine with the Americana theme to create a truly perfect summertime soiree. The food included an array of American favorites like hot dogs and caramel corn – yum! The talented Lia Griffith teamed up with party planner Lisa Frank to create many of the decorations and will be sharing their DIY details soon over here. She is also giving away FREE PRINTABLES for Invitation & Matchboxes! You can find the full set right here in Lia’s Etsy Shop! This is definitely a collection you could use every year and add new details year-to-year to your vintage 4th of July celebration!
We’re smitten to be able to share this 4th of July party with you, so grab your coffee and sit back to enjoy these beautiful pictures…
The cute matchboxes alone are beyond fabulous (and remember, you can get them free right here on Lia’s site)! Some of my favorite DIY details? Felt pinwheels, paper medallions, fabric windsocks, felt strawberries, fabric + lace garland, kraft paper chip or snack pouch! All of these DIYs will be detailed out on Lia’s site over the next week so you can recreate the look!
Here’s a picture of the full printable set! Find it over here on Etsy!

Courtney, thank you SO MUCH for featuring this party today! I had so much fun crafting and styling it with Lia Griffith at my parents’ lovely country house outside of Portland, OR. We had to keep rescheduling it for almost a week to avoid the rain, but such is life in the beautiful Pacific NW. :)
There are so many darling handcrafted details that we can’t wait to share with everyone in our upcoming tutorials at liagriffith.com. I think the fabric windsocks and felt strawberries are my favorite unique touches! I find such joy in crafting and styling parties and this is my first time being featured– it’s such a thrill. Thanks again! :)

Oh, such lovely memories every time I look back at these photos. I just wanted to update my info, since this party was before I started my blog. You can now see my party ideas and DIY craft tutorials at Handcrafted Parties (handcraftedparties.com), or on Instagram @lisafrankparties. Thanks again for featuring this celebration, Courtney! :)
This party is absolutely beautiful. I love it.
Thank you, Leonie! It was a joy to create and I hope it inspires your own celebrations! :)
What great ideas! Makes me think of small town parades, kids, friends & family…..ok – throw some good food in there too (I love to think about good food!). Your ideas are so inspiring, even for those of us who aren’t quite as DIY as you are!
Thanks, Lee Ann! Indeed, that was our inspiration! We shot this at my parents’ house in the country and every 4th of July we line up our chairs at the bottom of their driveway where an all-American small town parade gets started. Picture decorated tractors, homemade floats, kids on bikes and horseback, vintage cars and the local fire department all out to celebrate! Everyone in the parade throws candy to the spectators–it’s better than Halloween! :)
Lisa- Amazing job! I love the chip bags:) Pinned them.
Thank you, Jenny! Lia and I had a blast with this one…can’t wait for the next party too. :) I follow your blog and thought your rainbow chevron s’mores boxes and the Let’s Play Ball party this week were fabulous!!
This is adorable!!
These are the perfect vintage touches! I love this entire setup!! Thank you for sharing :)
