{Party Feature} Modern Chic Baby Shower Brunch

It’s common practice to throw a first time mommy-to-be a baby shower, but it’s becoming more and more common to throw baby showers or baby “sprinkles” for mothers expecting their second and even third babies. It’s a chance to get together and celebrate another joyous life being brought into the world! Monica Margolles of Styling the Moment sure had her hands full with this shower! Not only was she responsible for the adorable styling, printables and delicious desserts, but she was also the mommy-to-be! Wow! I’m tired just thinking about all of it! I’ll let Monica take it from here!

“Every mommy to be deserves to be showered with love no matter how many number of children she already has.  This baby shower was for my own third baby to be.  I decided on a small event with a small guest list of 20 women to celebrate the upcoming arrival of my baby boy. I fell in love with a simple stroller silhouette and decided to make that the center of my theme by coordinating it with a blue, black, and white color palette.  

Guest tables were decorated with coordinating linen and topped with floral centerpieces, wire strollers filled with candy, baby ultrasound pictures, and candles.  Each guest had their own place setting with a favor box to take home. For the menu, we decided on some brunch favorites…French toast, pancakes, deviled eggs, yogurt with granola, donuts, etc.  For those craving sweets, we had cake, macarons, decorated sugar cookies, and plenty of chocolate.  

Of course no brunch is complete without mimosas, which were served in personalized flutes for each guest. We had a few simple activities that included writing a wish for baby and hanging it on the wishing tree and writing a message for mommy and daddy on diapers to be used on baby.”
