Berries & Bellinis Birthday Party!
Berries & Bellinis
Favorite is a strong word, I know, but this is (hands down!) my favorite party (that I have designed so far!). It was an absolute blast – from one of my best friends helping me finish last minute touches the night before it was filmed for our local NBC affiliate to first coming up with the idea while brainstorming with the birthday girl in the Vanderbilt bookstore. Joy Beth, the party honoree, is quite the baker herself so I knew I wanted something fun and different. We decided on a “build your own berry cobbler bar“!
Fresh blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and peaches were served with a brown sugar crumble, whipped topping, powdered sugar, and vanilla bean ice cream. My plan was to make the “pie pops” as seen on the fabulous Bakerella and recently seen on Eat Drink Pretty (her Raspberry party post from last week is unreal!) – but time ran out. They really are easy, but I did not quite perfect them in time. So I opted for mini cupcakes on a stick (skewer sticks). We also served Blueberry Pie instead of birthday cake. It was a fresh and fun way to celebrate her birthday and summer treats!
Vintage bicycles are popping up everywhere, and I am soaking up this trend! I now own a ridiculous amount of rustic, vintage bikes of varying sizes and shapes. They are so fun on a table as servingware and decor! They add such a neat charm to the look of the party!
We sipped on delicious Raspberry Bellinis, and I must say – they were super refreshing. In this humid Tennessee heat, it doesn’t matter how great your hair straightener is, 10 seconds after stepping outside, it will curl into a big mess and your icing will ooze down the sides of your cupcakes. Don’t you worry though, these bellinis will hit the spot!
Raspberry Bellinis
1 bottle champagne
3/4 to 1 cup raspberries (or a berry of your choice!)
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup club soda
Place raspberries or other berries in blender with sugar and club soda. Puree into a thick “smoothie-like” consistency. When ready to serve, mix with bottle of champagne! Add a drink stirrer (might I suggest a bamboo skewer with blueberries!). Enjoy!

This is absolutely adorable in every way! Especially loving the cupcake skewers and the ribbon detailing on the lanterns. Those bellinis look delish too!
Super cute! I love the cupcake skewers … and the wood wine buckets are really charming too!
Such a pretty party, I love the paper lanterns and the bellinis look and sound so yummy, I’m going to have to try that recipe very soon.
This turned out fabulous! The cupcake skewers are the cutest thing ever, and look oh-so-delish. The bellini’s don’t look so bad, either :)
Courtney this turned out SO fabulous!! Great job! I would have loved to build my own berry cobbler, haha! :)
LOVE IT!!! And I love the cupcake skewers!!
This is my favorite one yet! I think I am doing the same lantern detail for an upcoming shower!
This looks like a wonderful party. And I lot of good ideas we can use. Thank you.
What a gorgeously sweet little party! I love the ribbon wrapped latterns – it dresses them up just enough and adds that extra bit of flowy-fun. Great job!
So amazing, I hate that I missed it. Love the cupcake skewer. Beautifully done as always Courtney!
Love the cupcakes on a stick! Too cool! Stumbled:)
Loving the cupcake skewers! Too cute! Cant wait to try Bellini’s!
Love the thoughtful details Courtney! I love the incorporation of the vintage bicycle– perfect touch!
I love this party idea! It looks so cute and tasty :) It would be good for many other occasions too!
Courtney…what a pleasure to be part of this creative endeavor! You captured it beautifully…you totally spoke to JB’s romantic side with this set-up…love it!
I absolutely love the paisley table linens…where did you find them?
Jessica – it’s actually just a few yards of fabric from Jo Anns! Do you have one of those? I didn’t even “finish” the edges b/c I liked the look. I always go to fabric stores for my table covers!
I love the cupcake skewers! What a fabulous idea! Bellinis + Beries = A Perfectly Delicious Day!
