Colorful Backyard Bridesmaids Brunch!
Bridesmaids brunches are one of my favorite wedding festivities! It’s a time for a bride to honor her “gals” with a celebratory brunch to get ready for the big day. I love the backyard, casual feel of this bridesmaid brunch full of flowers, delicious foods, and a photobooth too! Shared by Erin Kate Photography, the bride Erica wanted to provide a chance for all her bridesmaids to get to know each other in a fun + festive environment before the wedding. Add in some peach mimosas and a little badminton and you have one fabulous bridesmaids brunch… take a look (more party details below)…
Sweet bride Erica shared her party details + inspiration!
“I’ve been wanting to host a brunch for quite some time now and with spring in our midst and a slew of bridesmaids in tow I figured now was a better time than any. The idea came together after realizing that I wanted all my bridesmaids to be friends. I know forcing girls into friendships is not ideal and while sitting around eating brunch and drinking together may create a memorable face, activities, especially homemade activities are the key to helping you remember a quirky connection or making a new friend.”
Tissue paper pom-poms added touches of spring color to match the flowers that were scattering the yard in vintage bud vases! To get the girls moving around and mingling, Erica set up the food “buffet style” on an old door she found in her mother’s garage! How neat! Food was served up on the door table and drinks on a tea card in the yard. The girls drank water out of mason jars, coffee out of old flowery mugs, and peach mimosas that were set out on the bride’s grandmothers serving tray. Erica also used her grandmother’s miniature crystal desert cups to hold pretty flower buds. How sweet!
“Over a combination of badminton, homemade food, morning cocktails, sunshine, flowers and a DIY photo booth I think I was able to get all the girls comfortable enough with each other to support me on my big day. I have to admit I may of forced some girls into striking a pose for the Polaroid camera or joining me in a game of badminton. But, everyone’s laughter as we played badminton over the loosely strung streamers that served as a make shift net and smiles over homemade quiche and cheese gougère’s convinced me they were enjoying it.”

This is absolutely adorable! The Peach Mimosas on Grandma’s serving tray are my favorite idea! :)
