Honey Bee Birthday Party!
As soon as we saw this precious Honey Bee Birthday Party, well we just couldn’t wait to start “buzzing” about it! Submitted by Bird Crafts, the bumble bee themed event was put together to celebrate a little girl’s birthday.
Held in an outdoor garden in France, the sunny decorations reflected the lovely summer day…heart-patterned tablecloths (simple material sent to Bird from her sister in Rio!), yellow crepe paper pompoms from Martha Stewart and beautiful local sunflowers created a fresh fun ambiance!
The desserts table was filled with honey boiled sweets in glass candy jars and little yellow buckets, chocolates and an adorable homemade spongecake-delicious! And I absolutely love all of the added little details; the polka dot ribbon, place cards, tiny wooden bees and retro party hats can’t help but make you smile :)

Baby Bee Shower
We’re all a-buzz over this darling bee-themed baby shower that Camille Styles (from lifestyle blog Style Notes) recently designed for a dear friend who was expecting her first. Since the last name of the expecting parents begins with the letter “B,” it was an easy stretch to invite guests to celebrate with a “bee” motif.
A gorgeously-designed drinks station allowed guests to help themselves to libations. Sparkling mint lemonade & cucumber-peartinis were especially festive when infused with honey, and a beehive-shaped dispenser provided a thematic centerpiece. Bold yellow & white striped linens were a modern table-topper: for these, Camille took the chic-for-cheap route and cut IKEA fabric to fit the table.
A party dripping in sweetness needn’t be all dessert (although this honey ice cream topped with honey-roasted nuts can’t be beat.) Savories can be infused with honey too, like watermelon-arugula salad with honey vinaigrette; triple creme brie with fresh figs & honey; and rosemary flatbread with blue cheese, grapes & honey.
