Colorful Raindrops Book Party!

There is no doubt about it, COLOR is in! Incorporate a few colors into your party or go for a RAINBOW look like this darling shoot styled for the children’s book Raindrops: A Shower of Colors by Chiêu Anh Urban, Illustrated by Viviana Garofoli! We have shared lots of rainbow party ideas (like this one and another one here). We’re huge fans of bright colors that really appeal to young party guests. This innovative concept book with see-through raindrops show how different colors blend to make new ones. Neat!

Talented designer Katie Wells of Petite Social was ecstatic to design a cute playdate photoshoot using the book as inspiration. Since the book was all about colors, a rainbow-themed party was a no-brainer. Going with a playdate feel, she created a styled dessert table and kids COLORING + CRAFT station! Libby Lane Press designed the printables.

“I created a colorful backdrop with a mix of paper chains and streamers to add some variety.  Our dessert table was filled with some amazing creations!  In addition to making rainbow jello cups and candy drizzled popcorn, my sweets vendors, Sugar High, Inc created the most fabulous cake, incorporating every single animal from the book, Lynlee’s Petite Cakes created the adorable fondant toppers, and Custom Cakebites provided a colorful collection of cake pops.” – Katie Wells

Fun + Favors

Each child received a coloring worksheet and sat down at craft station, which was filled with markers, paint, and crayon.  Our little guests all left the party with their very own copy of Raindrops and a rainbow goody bag from The Paper Nook.

This is a great educational children’s board book that would serve as a great party favor and/or birthday gift.
