Farm Yard Birthday Party
Farm Yard Birthday Party
Bec and Tammi are from RubyJu on the Gold Coast in Australia, and they recently styled this Farm Yard Party for Bec’s little boy Mack’s 2nd birthday. From cake pops to cowboy hats, the party was a HIT and the styling is fabulous. Knowing that Mack loves animals, Bec + Tammi felt that a Farm Yard theme was fitting. Once the red barn back drop was chosen the rest just seemed to fall into place.
RubyJu created Bakerella’s cute Farm Animal Cakepops. They chose the cows, sheep, pigs and chickens. They shared, “0ur cake pop stands were covered in green tissue paper with fringing attached for the cows and sheep to look as if they were out in the paddocks. To make the pigs seem as though in the mud we made pig pens from popsicle sticks painted brown and used choc chips as mud. The chickens sat in little pails which were filled with candy coated eggs.”
Miniature recycled bottles were painted in a cow print so that they could be filled with juice. They also did not have to worry about matching the drink color with the rest of the table since the bottles were painted!
The rest of the food was presented on picture frames that were painted brown to represent farm fences. Other sweets used were red velvet cupcakes, animal biscuits and milk bottles filled with milk bottle lollies.
They also had a separate table for the birthday cake which was surrounded by candy jars filled with old fashioned chocolate cobblers, red frogs and Kool Mints. Beside that were homemade choc chip oatmeal biscuits with gingham fabric lids for guests to take home and barn style milk cartons were made for the guests to fill with candies.
RubyJu set up a photo booth with cute “think” bubbles, moustaches and glasses and took photo’s on a Polaroid camera that the guests were instantly able to take home memories of the day.
Each of the kids were given a straw hat with their name and helium balloons were included as part of the fun.
“Mack and all the kids had a great time and we were happy with the overall outcome.” – RubyJu

Jess, please reach out to Rubyju (linked in first sentence and at bottom), as this was their party. Pizzazzerie simply featured it.
I have actually. I clicked on all the links to them above but says website no longer exists. So I googled and found her and sent a message but haven’t had any reply and looks like no comments on blog since 2012 :-(
Hi Jess – Oh no! This is a really old post so perhaps their business is no longer around. I wish I could help but I didn’t style any of this party so I really don’t know where the items came from. I wish I did know! So sorry!
No worries at all thanks anyway for your help!
