Inspiration for the Halloween Chocolate Bar:

“For Halloween this year I wanted to create something different. I combined the 2 best things Halloween has to offer dressing up and chocolate. We had Princess Anna, Princess Aurora, Queen Elsa and The Red Ranger join us for this fun filled party!I created a Halloween Chocolate Bar, making sure that most of the desserts and candy were chocolate. I had chocolate macarons, chocolate cupcakes, chocolate sugar cookies, chocolate trifles and so much chocolate candy bars.”….read on for more party details + lots of pictures…

May had Alexandria of Funky Monkey Designs design the amazing printables! They match the theme perfectly and incorporate glitter! The sugar cookies were created by May’s long-time friend and fellow sweet baker Earleen of Sweeter by the Dozen – Ottawa. “The bats and ghosts were so cute, we felt bad biting into them,” May shared. We agree, they’re so cute! The amazing cake was designed by Roxy’s Design. The scary spiders were a creepy yet cool addition to the chocolate tier!

MORE PARTY DETAILS BY MAY: “A lot of the decor for this set up were bought at my favourite store, Michaels. Who doesn’t love to shop for crafts at Michaels. I scored the fans, black glitter tree, pumpkin stems and kids craft project there. The kids were able to dress up their pumpkins with cute little faces.

Another great DIY are the mason jars. I painted them using the colours orange and black in a chalk finish. Add some glitter to the tops and voila! you’ve got some repurposed mason jars.

The kids had a great time drooling over the sweets and so much fun decorating their pumpkins to take home and set up by their front door.

Thanks to the Lovely and talented Laurie-Anne from Laurel Grace Photography for taking these great pictures.” – May of Petits Plaisirs Chocolata Treats
