June Bug’s Farmyard Birthday Bash

Farmyard Birthday Bash

Farm parties are at the top of the cuteness list anyway, but this country themed farm party for little “June Bug” is just off the charts cute. From a darling little petting zoo to farm animal cupcakes, this makes me want to throw a farm party for my own birthday (seriously!). My favorite part (besides all the amazing decorations + details) has to be the hay rides in the little red wagon! The kids look like they are having the time of their life. That’s what celebrations are all about.

June Bug’s Mom shared lots of party details with us!

“Our sweet daughter June, aka “June Bug” just turned one and we threw her a good ole fashion farm party! The little party guests enjoyed pony rides on stick horses, hay rides in a wagon, coloring farm animal coloring sheets and played with ducklings at the petting farm.

The décor was rustic and simple with 1950’s vintage linens, milk crates and milk pitchers from my late Grandparent’s farm, bushel baskets of apples, daisies and vintage milk bottles. Everyone enjoyed farm fresh fare with BBQ chicken, potato salad, coleslaw, corn bread and watermelon. The smallest guests helped themselves to fruits and veggies from “June’s Fresh Produce” stand.

There were several babies at the party as well so “Chick Feed” (Cheerios) were ready for snacking. Fresh lemonade, ice cold chocolate milk and junebug Pinot Grigio were served for drinks. For dessert the kids gobbled up buttermilk cupcakes adorned with fondant farm animals displayed with a red barn cake. Cherry or apple pie as well as chocolate chip cookies and chocolate pops (roosters, pigs, barns and cows) were in the dessert buffet.

After all the fun on the farm, the kids left with a red felt barn goodie bag with miniature farm animals inside and a small potted daisy to plant at home.”

June and her big sister Ruby both wore a chicken shirt or dress and hair bows made by their mom. HOW CUTE!

  1. BAH! Those hayrides are the cutest. Adorable party that would work for grown-ups too. Well, with a bigger hay bale…

  2. What an adorable party for little June Bug! Katie has so many great party ideas for her kiddos. How wonderful that she is featured here! I can’t wait to see what she will come up with for next year.
