{Part 1of 2} Pirate Birthday Box Invitations!
Pirate parties are my absolute fave! I’ve styled my own a few times in the past couple of years and always find them the most fun (maybe it’s because I like to watch Hook the whole time?)…Haha…I’m so I’m thrilled to share this submission from AMBER HOUSLEYÂ (Amber designed my wedding paper goods). This adorable party was for her son’s 4th birthday! AMBERÂ is uber creative so she made all the food labels and paper goodies in addition to styling up the party! Look for the pirate party post to come up soon, but first is the clever invitation!
I love the idea of an invitation box – especially if you’re only inviting a small group of friends + family. Invitations truly set the mood to the party and gets everyone excited about what’s to come.
The Invitation Box
The invitation box featured a message in a bottle containing a pirate map announcing the birthday party. In the mailing box it was accompanied by a wood-grain pocketfold that was closed by a pirate patch. Inside the pocketfold was the main invitation design and pocket for a bag full of coins. How clever? I now want to do an invitation box for every event!
Ahoy, Mateys! Be sure to check back later for Part 2: The Pirate Party for all the fabulous details from this cute birthday party! You won’t want to miss it!
Do you love the “box” idea? Do you have any parties coming up where you’d like to do a invitation box?

My son would absolutely LOVE this for his 7th birthday party coming up in June! Awesome idea!
Hi Rebecca! We agree, it’s a pretty fabulous idea! We can’t wait to try it out sometime soon too!
Awesome idea! I can imagine the kids’ faces when they get this!
I want to do these invitation boxes for my sons 4th birthday! How could I order them or where would I find the boxes to do myself?
Are these invitations/printable available for purchase? I LOVE them!
I agree!!! I would love to have some printables or find out where to get the boxes to try it myself.
