Party Feature: Captain Jack Sparrow Pirate Party

Pirate Party Ideas

Yo ho ho! It’s a Pirate’s Life For Me! We are big Pirate Party fans around here so when Alexandria of FMDFunkyMonkeyDesigns shared this fabulous Jack Sparrow inspired soiree, we knew we had to share it with you! The birthday boy “Zeke” absolutely loves pirates so he was transformed into Captain Zeke for the day on his own pirate ship. From the pirate-themed treats to the spooky decor, this Pirates of the Caribbean themed party is one of our absolute favorites.

Look out for a few our favorite details!

  • Fabric garland complete with burlap and gold coins (from Tutus & Bowties Events)
  • Clever “Caribbean Sea Water”
  • Spooky and cute skull pirate pops (from Granny’s Party Goodies)

Alexandria shared details of the Captain Jack Sparrow Pirate Party planning with us!

“To start I scoured Pinterest for ideas and decided upon designing the dessert table first. My brother lent me a desk and I was lucky enough to find tons of silver plates, candlesticks, bread boxes (to add height), and a wooden bowl that reminded me off a crows nest. Let me tell you, Goodwill is definitely your friend! Another death trap to party planners….. I mean helpful store is, Hobby Lobby! I found all sorts of great stuff in there! A ship’s wheel, little wood crates, fish nets, pirate coins, a pirate ship, a black cake stand, bottles, buckets and plants. I was also lucky because Zeke’s birthday is around Halloween so I was able to score crows and skulls.

Thanks to my amazing vendors everything turned out great! I was amazed at the details all of my vendors used, The gold glitter on the chocolate lollipops, the burlap and gold coin touches in the fabrics garland, Zeke’s name and age on the (awesome) cookies, the skulls and swords painted on the candy kabobs (because come on, that is totally amazing!) and the gold skulls on the rice krispie treats. Zeke informed me that this was his favorite party and constantly refers to his “pirate party”.” – Alexandria of FMDFunkyMonkeyDesigns
