“For my daughter’s 5th birthday I wanted to celebrate her in a special way. She absolutely adores fairies and unicorn (which 5 year old doesn’t?) and she also has a deep love for the color purple. So why not throw it all together? I love crafts and I knew I wanted to make as much myself as I could so I started a few months out to allow myself enough time. Alyssa was involved throughout the entire process and “approved” all my ideas and designs. One time in a craft store I picked up a pink ribbon and Alyssa told me that it did not match our color theme and asked me to put it back. I was so fun to watch her get involved with this. She even wrote the welcome sign herself asking me to spell it out for her.” – Natalie of Designed Perfectly Events

Because every little fairy needs her wings, an adorable dress and a wand, Natalie and her daughter decided to ask for her friends to come dressed in their favorite fairy outfits and we customized the girl’s wings and got plenty of wands. Mom made Alyssa’s tutu based on an online tutorial. We just adore it!

A note on place mats: “I know I wanted a “grass” type place mat on the tables and but didn’t want actual grass or moss. So when I found the ombre mini rose runner I was in love. They did not come in place mats, only runners, so I just ordered 2 runners and cut them into place mats. With my luck, they send me 3 runners so I used one as a backdrop for Alyssa’s goodie bags!” – Natalie shared.

  1. So lovely! I wish I had a little girl to share something like this with! Would you be so kind as to share what font was used on the signs? I am addicted to fonts (one of my pinterest boards is actually called “My Font Addiction”!) and I love the font used for the words “Sparkling” on the lemonade sign, “Always” (on the ice cream sign) and “Fairy Dust” on the fairy dust bar. Thank you so much!

    1. Hi Celeste,
the font is called Scriptina Pro and is a FREE to download! Score! :-)

      All the best,

      1. Thank you so much, Natalie! I already downloaded it. Your website and ideas are so beautiful. I was delighted to see that it was free, as one of my other favorites, Peony Pro, comes with a price tag as lovely as the letters. Thanks again!
