Doggie Birthday Party!
As you learned yesterday, I adore birthdays – I celebrate them big time! Dogs and cats should not be left out. I have celebrated many special dogs in my life! Make a doggie delicacy or kitty cuisine for your sweet pet! Let the party start with a long walk in the park, a few squirrel chasing runs, then home for a nice meal and a little Animal Planet.
Dog Bones
2½ Cups Whole Wheat Flour
½ cup Nestle Carnation Nonfat Dry Milk
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon brown sugar
6 tablespoons Mazola oil
1 egg
½ cup ice water
1 chicken boullion cube (dissolved into water)
Preheat oven to 400. In a bowl, combine flour, dry milk, salt, garlic powder, and brown sugar. Cut in oil until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Mix in egg. Add up to ½ cup ice water and continue mixing until mixture forms a ball. Pat out the dough on an ungreased cookie sheet to ½ inch thick. Cut with a cookie cutter or knife. The scraps can be formed again. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from the tray and cool on a rack.
Bone-appetit!

Oh man, our puppy Oliver has a birthday coming up in June. I’ll have to use some of these ideas, so adorable!!
I love this, Courtney! So sweet! I’m going to have to throw a TRIPLE birthday in December- my husband and daughter share a birthday, and our pup THOR!’s birthday is three days before that. I agree- fur-kids can’t be left out of the celebration!
I want the cupcake :-)
