Lavender {PARIS IN SPRINGTIME} Birthday Party!
What 5 year old little girl wouldn’t love a Parisian inspired springtime party? Kerry Redemer and Noelle Wall of Sweet Craft Cakes submitted this adorable 5th birthday party for us to share with you (+ lots of party details and decorating ideas). They departed with the traditional pink and black for the birthday girl’s favorite color – purple! Her backyard made for a delightful tea party. We think every little girl should have a tea party at least once in their childhood!

Birthday Attire

“We created an inspiration board with some of our custom printables and décor items, which we sent to Punk n Pie Couture and Sweetharts Shoppe. They did an amazing job matching the outfit to the theme. The birthday girl looked stunning in the tulle dress created by Punk n Pie Couture. The hair accessory from Sweetharts Shoppe coordinated perfectly with the neckline on the tulle dress and party printables. We asked all guests to come in their favorite purple, chocolate or silver outfit. This is a fun way to carry through your color scheme. Dessert Table

“The birthday girl had a beautiful purple tulle canopy that made for an amazing backdrop for the dessert table. We found purple and chocolate butterflies at Michaels to hang from the tulle. We wanted a light an airy feel for the table-skirt. We gathered and pinned silver tulle to achieve this look. We found an amazing jeweled tea set, which included some coordinating platters and cupcake stand, to set an elegant table. We chose French inspired cookies and desserts to serve with tea. We were fortunate to find most of the desserts at a local grocery store. We love it when you can get an elegant look for less.” – Kerry and Noelle of Sweet Craft Cakes

Party Activities

“We set up a tea party for the guests to enjoy in the backyard. The setting was breath taking with the sound of the creek running by. The guests enjoyed their cookies and tea, and then had free play in the backyard. For the activity we made easy to create flower wands by attaching a Styrofoam ball to a wooden dowel and then hot gluing flowers on it. Photographer, Lisa Fitzsimons, treated the party guests to portraits. They all felt so glamorous striking their poses. We had her print extra portraits to tuck into thank you cards.”  Kerry and Noelle of Sweet Craft Cakes

“Each guest took home an Eiffel Tower and Paris themed lotion found at the dollar spot in Target. They also got to keep their wands and hair accessory. We had to cater to guests ranging from 2-10. We did this by keeping the activities simple and the décor timeless.” Kerry and Noelle of Sweet Craft Cakes
