Host a Snowmen & Donuts Christmas Breakfast!
Breakfast foods do not get a lot focus for Christmas and the holiday season so my Mom and I thought at SNOWMEN & DONUTS party would be the perfect way to share inspiration for a festive holiday breakfast.
Whether you host a holiday breakfast for your family on Christmas morning (if so, check out these Christmas Breakfast Ideas) or invite friends and neighbors over a few days before for some celebrating, these tips should help you get going!
COLOR: Pick out a simple table covering like bright green (ours is just fabric from the fabric store) or red. Simple white dishes and cake stands will POP against the bright colors. I found the fluted white cake stand used here from Target (it’s plastic so won’t break with kids around – score)!
RIBBON: A wide (3″+) ribbon in a festive and playful print (like polka dots) can be twirled and woven in the middle of the table for a simple and fun decoration! And when you’re done? Roll it right back up for another use.
PLACEMATS: Look in unusual places for fun placemats like these snowmen faces crafted from felt and glittered paper at our local craft store. Extra ones were hung with ribbon from the lighting fixture in my breakfast room. This is an idea that my Mom has used for years. Sometimes it’s just curled ribbon hanging down but it always makes a statement!
FAVOR BAGS: Pick up snowman favor bags (check Dollar Tree & Michaels) and fill with donuts to take home!
SIP IN STYLE: I absolutely adore my glass milk bottles from Shop Sweet Lulu (I bought them as props for my Frostings book shoot and have used them multiple times since). Pair with a pretty striped straw and a donut!
We used the same ribbon interwoven throughout the table to make bow ties for the bottles. This is a simple little touch that added quite a bit! You could also attach on a sticker, name tag for a place card, you name it!
We hope you have found some festive holiday ideas from this simple Snowmen & Donuts Party! If you love it (let us know in a comment below), we’d love for you to share it with friends or Pin it to your Pinterest boards! Thanks!
