Sunflower Luncheon
Sunflower Luncheon
Summertime and glorious sunflowers just go together. Can you imagine what the guest of honor must have felt when she arrived at this fun luncheon? From the invitation, to the tall vases of sunflowers, to individual sunflower sugar baskets and yummy butter sunflower cookies — all took this luncheon over the top. Using black/white stripe overlays made the tables “pop“.
Cards with each girls name were placed in the baskets to use as placecards. Yes, we used Domino’s Sugar to make pressed sugar baskets. You can learn how to make these baskets from our previous Easter post! Just hot glue silk sunflowers to the basket’s edges instead
of piping with icing.

Interesting sunflower fact: Did you know that sun flower heads track the sun’s movement? A phenomenon known as heliotropism.
