From nautical bottles and ship details, this patriotic party will show you lots of fun ideas for throwing neighborhood parties, barbecues, and more for this summer holiday! Add a little PIZZAZZ to a delicious apple pie with patriotic details. Head to your craft store for fun red, white, + blue ribbon and other fun crafts to place into pies and other sweet treats.

Kick boring red glasses up a notch with fun nautical and patriotic stickers! Easy to remove, they turn simple glasses into July 4th drinkware in a flash! Also, add a few nautical pillows and red + blue pillows to create a patriotic atmosphere in your backyard! We found ours at HomeGoods!

Visit your local fabric store for your tablecloth! We found a simple blue + white stripe that we will be able to use for lots of other parties too. A simple $1 patriotic bunting banner found at Target added the perfect table decoration!

DESSERT SKEWERS

Serving fresh fruit is a must for any summer party but kick it up a notch by placing raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries on wooden skewers along with a few sweet treats like these simple yogurt covered pretzels and mini golden cakes. All of these sweet items were found at our local grocery store and took only seconds to thread on the skewers. Almost instantly we had a sweet treat display for the party!

Slice red bell peppers and hollow out the seeds to make the perfect container for dips like guacamole or spinach artichoke spread. Serve along with fresh crackers and veggies for a delicious + savory treat!

Thousands of patriotic parties include grilled hot dogs + hamburgers so add a patriotic touch with fun craft supplies! We used simple fabric + paper to create sailboat shapes on wooden skewers. After adoring with patterned ribbon, they were placed in the hot dogs for a fun decoration!

A simple nautical decoration made the perfect holder for cupcakes, doughnuts, and berries! Cake stands aren’t the only holder for cupcakes so take a look around for fun themed props at your local stores or HomeGoods!

  1. I would love to host a luau! We finally have a pretty backyard, that is big enough to hold plenty of guests. We’re new to our neighborhood, so a luau would be a fun way to meet more of the neighbors.

    I saw your Summer Stripes contest as well and was trying to come up with something creative… I’m going to do a “Release Party” this summer for my kids. We got tadpoles for my sons (6 and 2) and caterpillars for my daughter (4) and and once they become frogs and butterflies we will have party to release… Going to miss the deadline for Stripes but thanks for getting my creative mind working ;) A gift card would be great to find that “IT” piece for it ;)

    Would love to have a “looking back to the ‘good ‘ol days” party complete with pie (whipped cream) throwing, pin the tail on the donkey, an obstacle course, clothespins in a bottle, pogo sticks, making paper airplanes, etc. Don’t know who would have more fun … the adults or the kiddos!

    I would love to host a red, black and white party for my teen son’s 16th birthday. With red being the color used the most and lots of black and white photos of him growing up. His favorite color has always been red.

    Every 4th of July famy and friends cone to our house for great food, drinks and the parade that goes rightby our house. Everyone gathers to watch the kids collect candy and watch all the people in the parade. We usually have decorations outside but it would be nice to carry the theme inside. His big brother gave him a stuffed turtle right after he was born and has slept with it, for the most part, since he was born. Flowing sheers, floating candles in the pool, TONS of Morrocan lamps, pillows and flowers. The food would be Morrocan and I would love to hire a Henna Artist just for fun.     I would host a family reunion party at the lake for my family. My brother had a stroke four years ago and has had to miss but this year we’re going to make it happen!!! He will turn 60 this year and we are blessed to still have him. He would love the patriotic theme because he was in the AIR FORCE. I’ve been collecting flags and numerous red, white, and blue ideas.
