Parisian Birthday Party
{Black & Purple} Parisian Birthday Party
My best friend celebrated her birthday last month, and I thought I’d take a tiny break from the fall and Halloween inspiration to share with you some pictures from her party! Jill represents all things classy, chic, and stylish – which, to me, also represent Paris. I helped style a small dessert table in the wine bar where we celebrated. To start, if you live in Nashville or plan to visit, you must visit this wine bar. It’s called “Wild Bill’s” – crazy, I know – but it’s Nashville’s only Euro style wine bar where guests can serve themselves in 1, 3, or 6 ounce pours. Tip: Ask Bill himself to “blend” a glass for you, amazing! The walls are a dark eggplant with black decor so I kept the color scheme the same for the table.
“Cake maker” is definitely not on my list of God-given talents (unlike my dear friend Megan from Santa Barbara who I only wish I could have flown in to make the cake), but I tried my hand at it! The wine tags were my favorite part of this party, however. Adorned with French script and magenta chandeliers, guests wrote their name across their tag.  These gems were found by a seller on eBay (amazing shabby chic, vintage, French-style finds). To complete the glasses, we tied a simple strip of black lace around each glass. We found inspiration for this idea in a post on Style Me Pretty designed by Azar of Principal Planner Weddings & Events.
I have always been a bit unsure about adhesive wall decor, but I LOVE how the black chandelier looks on the wall behind the table.
Wild Bill’s has a cafe attached to the wine bar that serves New Orleans style eats including absolutely delicious Beignets. We served these on the table along with chocolate dipped macaroons. Though it was a small and simple table, it was a “sweet” addition to a night of sipping an array of global wines and celebrating such a dear friend!

Wish I would have seen this for my 40th B-day party. It would have been a great backdrop. Maybe for 41?
