Pink & Green Birthday Party, Cheeky Style!

Pink and green just spells out PARTY to me, am I right? It’s the perfect color scheme for birthday parties (from age 1 to 100) so I’m excited to share a little birthday party tablescape I put together using the new Cheeky Party line (find it at Target)! There are several colors in the line, but this pink and green were just begging to be styled for a darling party table! Another reason I love the Cheeky line? You can use the paper plates to make all kinds of party decor from flags to place cards! Check out tips below…it’s PARTY TIME!

This preppy pink and green party tablescape is so simple to recreate! Here’s how! A white tablecloth is always a must-have because it’s versatile for all types of celebrations. Next up, Cheeky plates/napkins/cutlery in pink and green. You’ll actually use the paper plates to make the gift tags, place cards, confetti, and party flags! How cute + efficient? Plus you won’t have to worry about the colors not matching!

I always like to use cake stands to add visual interest so white and green cake stands in the center of the table provide a centerpiece for my cake and height for my little gifts wrapped in pink and green, of course! I used extra wrapping paper to make party hats (you could even make mini party hats from the paper plates). Each cutlery set was wrapped with green raffia and placed at each setting with a coordinating straw!

I topped the plates on a larger white plate that served as a charger for a polished look. I love doubling the plates too because guests can use one for the meal and one for cake! Plus, the pink and green helps give it a finished look when topped with a party hat!

For the napkins, I doubled these as well (adds more color!) and cut the top napkin into a ribbon detail. Don’t be afraid to get creative! Love confetti? Make it out of extra paper plates! See more on this below.

One of my other favorite tips is buying a bakery cake in white and decorating it yourself! Pink and green candles topped with confetti creates the perfect celebration cake on a centerpiece cake stand. Swirl in a tissue garland and lots of confetti and ta-da! Time to have a cheeky little party, don’t you think?

DIY Paper Plate Party Crafts

Cut the rimmed edges from the paper plates. Use the flat part of the plate to cut out party decor. Tip: Use round punches for confetti!
