Tips for Last-Minute Thanksgiving Planning

Thanksgiving Party Planning Snack Time!

Even if you aren’t hosting Thanksgiving (or any holiday meal), the season can still get a little hectic! I’m excited to share a few last-minute Thanksgiving holiday tips! Tis the season of what-to-wear, finding the perfect hostess gift, baking holiday treats, the list goes on – it gets hectic! Now that I have a little one, it’s wilder than ever. I absolutely don’t have everything together perfectly, you should see my office! So my secret to staying sane is always finding a little “me-time” to take a break and enjoy a snack. One of my faves? LAY’S® Classic Potato Chips! You might have noticed that I’ve partnered with Frito-Lay this year to share some fabulous entertaining ideas, and I love that I get to share a little about LAY’S Classic Potato Chips (my fave)! Read on for a few of my fave Thanksgiving tips!

Last-Minute Thanksgiving Prep Tips

  • It’s the “little things”: Hosting Thanksgiving? Don’t fret! You can easily add garnishes to your dishes and table in seconds. Sprigs of rosemary and placed on everything from the turkey to cocktail tray will add a festive green touch.
  • Live colorfully: One of my favorite entertaining tips is swapping out the “normal” colors for something a bit more fun! I added in aqua and pops of gold for a non-traditional Thanksgiving! The fall leaf invitations and “thankful for you” napkins tie in the Thanksgiving “feel”. This might be one of my favorite color schemes to date!
  • Snack time: Stop and take a little break from the hostessing and planning with LAY’S® Classic Potato Chips! I like to plan for a few minutes out where I know I can enjoy some “me” time. Have the family over? Set out a bowl for everyone to enjoy! It’ll keep “taste-testers” out of the kitchen awaiting the Thanksgiving meal ;) I also like to stash single-serving bags in my purse and car for running last-minute Thanksgiving errands. It makes things a lot easier, especially with a little one!
  • Set the table: Even if it’s just everyday dishes, set your table early for Thanksgiving so it’s one less worry the day of the big meal!

If you are headed out the door to a family or friends for Thanksgiving, then pull together a “Thanksgiving Kit” to help! Throw in cute cocktail napkins, gold striped straws, bags of LAY’S® Classic Potato Chips, and put-together a turkey day playlist! If you’re feeling really crafty, spray paint fall leaves with a coat of metallic gold for giving the tabletop some festive cheer!
