Edgy and Elegant
I am so excited to be able to share this truly AWESOME wedding with you all! Starting with the couple themselves, Marisa and Lawrence (“Loe”) grew up in neighboring towns but weren’t formally introduced until after college at a bar (where the bartender would also become Loe’s best man!) Then, choosing to get married on Friday the 13th, was a clue as to what a unique celebration it would be.
From start to finish, the affair truly reflected the newlyweds’ personalities. A nod to the wedding date, and Loe’s job as a dance instructor, things got kicked off with 40 kids rushing into the room and performing Michael Jackson’s Thriller– so much fun! The groom also took to the floor, in gold sneakers, and entertained guests with some insane backflips…wow.
The best part I think though, is the way the edgy aspects of this affair were complimented by equally distinctive decor. The centerpieces were glass cylinders filled with clear gel beads, creating the illusion that the beads were suspended in air, a light was then added between the base of the flowers and the vase, adding a gorgeous glow! I also just love the bride’s bouquet, adorned with ostrich feathers and a photo of her grandparents on their wedding day, so sweet :)
From the first to the last dance, this wedding definitely provided an evening of stellar entertainment and celebration!
