Orange + Brown California Wedding
When I first saw the pictures of this California wedding, I knew immediately that I wanted to showcase it. Stefanie (a fellow Vanderbilt Chi Omega) and Matt were married in November at the Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel, California. The ceremony and cocktail reception were on the Event Lawn and the seated dinner was held in the Barn.
There are so many elements of this wedding that I {love}:
- Colorful pashminas draped across ceremony chairs. Not only is this a thoughtful gift for your guests but it also adds another way to add in her signature orange color!
- Lighted walkway. The beautiful couple had simple glowing candles along their walkway adding such an elegant element to the ambiance.
- Centerpieces. They are just stunning and combine dramatic, tall floral arrangements with low vases as well. The apricot colors blend beautifully with the browns in the Barn.
- Monogram: I adore the monogram lit against the Barn wall. This is such a neat way to incorporate a couple’s monogram with lighting!
I could go on and on, this wedding is beautiful! If you are starting the planning for your fall wedding, I hope you have found some elegant inspiration!

Awesome! I love the reception venue – so frickin’ cool. We are getting married at a place called Blumen Gardens (http://www.blumengardens.com/) very rustic, classic, insert other “vintage” adjective here. Ceremony outside, reception inside a renovated warehouse (exposed brick, etc). We can’t wait.
Also, I can’t believe I just commented on a post about wedding planning/design :)
No love for the groom in the Save the Date? What if he’s been dreaming about it ever since he was a little boy?
Oh Neil, silly, that’s not the save-the-date, that’s the photobooth that they creatively had! It printed out the pictures like this, so neat!
Found you on the new Tip Junkie Blog Frog! Beautiful inspiration, I love the chocolate brown and orange color palette.
This wedding must have been STUNNING. Very rustic yet so elegant.
Absolutely beautiful! Such rich and beautiful colors…and it is in California?? Gotta love that !!
